The latest estimates are that the world’s population is approximately 7 billion. That is 7 billion souls who face the ultimate reality of sin and its consequences (Rom. 3:23; 6:23). 7 billion souls who will one day face the Lord in judgment (Heb. 9:27); 7 billion souls who are precious in the sight of God (2 Pet. 3:9) and stand in need of the soulsaving message of the gospel.
What are you doing to reach them?
Romans chapter 10 teaches us that God’s plan of salvation is not difficult. God does not require the impossible of us; He requires only obedience (Rom. 10:1-13). But, a soul cannot obey that of which he has no knowledge. Therefore, Romans 10:14-15 says,

Look at your feet. Are they beautiful?
The church of Christ stands committed to the great commission (Matt. 28:18-20). We are in the business of taking the gospel to a world which so desperately needs it. Ours is the task of pointing people to the cross and to a God who loves them and provides the answers and hope that are missing in this world. Every Christian must be committed to laboring in the fields so that the harvest may be plentiful.
Are you ready to make to that commitment?
To be sure, the call for laborers rings loud and true today, just as it did in first century. Indeed, the fields are white. Are you ready to harvest?
