A Bittersweet Farewell

A Bittersweet Farewell

October 25th, 2025, is our last Sunday with the beloved Westbrook family. Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when the people you are saying goodbye to have made such a meaningful impact on the congregation. For the past 10 years, the Westbrook family have labored for the Lord here at Southwest, leaving a footprint that will be seen even after they have moved.

Cody’s preaching from the pulpit, teaching in the classroom, compassionate visits to homes and hospitals, and being loveably goofy just about everywhere else will be dearly missed. We thank you, dear brother, for your countless hours of sacrifice, hard work, and service to the body of Christ here at Southwest. May God bless you as you work with the brethren in Huntsville.

Courtney, we thank you for all you have done for this congregation. Your role in teaching children and the wives of our students, planning and decorating for all kinds of events at the congregation, counseling and mentoring various ladies here at Southwest, and doing it all while raising three wonderful children. You are leaving us with encouragement and a godly example. May God bless you as your family transitions to Alabama.

Jonah, Elijah, and Tucker, thank you for the joy and laughter you have brought to this congregation. Your friendship and presence in various youth events and Bible classes are going to be missed. We wish you guys the very best. Keep growing into the godly men your mom and dad are raising you to be. Westbrook family, we love each of you very much. We are sad to see you go, but wish you the best going forward. We pray for God’s continued blessings on each of you. We know you will be a blessing to those who are around you.
